Referral fees
Be My Parent no longer charges placement fees to agencies who find a family for a child through our service. This applies to newspaper or combined newspaper/web referrals starting from the April 2009 issue, and to web referrals made after 1 April 2009.
Referral fees apply to one child or to a sibling group featured together in the same profile, and children can be booked into one, two or three consecutive issues of the newspaper, and one, two or three months on the website.
The word counts below apply to newspaper profiles only. Word counts for half and full-page profiles depend on other information used, such as number and size of photographs or other artwork supplied. There are no word count restrictions for profiles on the website, though we recommend a maximum word count of 500 words for an individual child, and 900 for a sibling group.

There is only one fee for website referrals, even if it is live for less than three months. We will assume you want the profile online for the full three months, unless you state otherwise.

Discounts
The following discounts are available:
- Repeat bookings: Significant discounts are available if you book space in two or three consecutive issues of the newspaper at the same time. See the above rates for more detail.
- Reduced fees when referring to both the web and print services: If referring a child to the Be My Parent newspaper, it only costs an additional £97 for the profile to appear on the website too!
Payment terms and conditions
For all fees:
- rates do not include VAT, which will be added
- do not send a cheque or BACS remittance until you are sent an invoice, after your first booking
- if applicable, send a purchase or official order form at the same time as the referral form, and remember to include the child’s first name on the form; if this is not done, regrettably, we will have to issue invoices without the order number.
