Info for IFAs and VAAs
Information for independent fostering agencies and voluntary adoption agencies.
Representatives from independent fostering agencies and voluntary adoption agencies need to subscribe to Be My Parent to view children's profiles.
Getting started
It is not currently possible for VAAs and IFAs to subscribe via the website. Please ask a representative from your agency to telephone the Be My Parent team on 020 7421 2666/5/4.
The team will talk you through subscription process and fees. We will then set you up on our system as an organisation subscriber, and give you your login details and password. You can then start searching the children's profiles. Don't forget to change your password when you first log in.
Subscription rates
For sites with 5 FTE or less social work staff, the subscription rate is £150 per annum (plus VAT) and you will be allocated up to 7 logins. Additional logins may incur an extra charge.
For sites with more than 5 FTE social work staff, the subscription rate is £250 per annum (plus VAT) and you will be allocated up to 10 logins.
Making an enquiry
When you search the children's profiles and make an enquiry about a child, the system will let the local authority know that you are a voluntary adoption agency or an independent fostering agency. Your contact details will be passed on to the agency, who will get back to you directly.
If you are enquiring on behalf of a particular family, why not encourage them to subscribe to Be My Parent online? This will mean they can make enquiries directly to agencies themselves.
