Gateshead adoption information evening
Thursday 2 October at 5.30-7.30pm at: The Lamesley Room at Gateshead Civic Centre.
Thinking about adoption but not sure where to start… Start your journey with Gateshead Council. Go along to their information evening in and find out all you need to know. You can be working or not, single or a couple and any sexual orientation, gender, ethnic origin, culture or age. So don’t rule yourself out before contacting them. You need to be over 21 and able to offer a child or a sibling group a loving and supportive family. We’ll explain the adoption process and you can ask questions, meet some of their team and speak to people who have adopted with Gateshead Council. Kent County Council Adoption Information Events
These events are a great way to learn more about adoption and to help you decide whether it's the right option for you.
Events are held several times a month across the county with the aim for potential adopters to attend an information event within ten working days of initial enquiry, depending on your availability.
You'll hear from adoptive parents about their experiences and find out more about the application process. Adoption social workers will be on hand to answer any questions you might have and to tell you more about the support and training available. You'll find out about some of the children in their care who need adoptive parents and what the next steps are if you decide that adoption might be right for you.

Reading adoption and fostering information evenings, Reading
Parents and Children Together (PACT) runs informal evenings for couples or individuals interested in adoption or fostering. Each event is led by a PACT social worker and will include a talk from someone who has adopted or fostered through PACT.
Peterborough Adoption are a small, dynamic, local authority agency with impressive approval rates, and are looking for new applicants.
Because they're focused on finding the best possible matches for their children in care, they don’t recruit to a specific criteria. So whether you are single or in a relationship, whatever your age, ethnicity or sexuality, if you can provide a loving, stable home to children or sibling groups aged from birth to eight years old, then they would like to talk to you. North East Adoption Information Events
Do you have questions about adoption? Durham County Council information events are a great chance for you to go along and chat with their experienced social workers and adoptive parents to find out what adoption is all about. You don't need to book a place and can call in any time throughout the session. They are happening on the following days:
Staffordshire County Council Adoption Information Meeting
Staffordshire County Council are holding adoption sessions providing information about adopting with them and what it is really like. The sessions are friendly, relaxed and are led by their specialised social workers. Go along, take all the information away with you and just listen. There's also the option to have a confidential chat with one of their social workers.
Hampshire County Council - Adoption Information Session

Adoption information evenings take place on the first Thursday of the month excluding January and August.
Adoption North London information evenings
Adoption North London is a partnership of six agencies: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey and Islington.
