Introducing Be My Parent online

Be My Parent online is a web-based family-finding service provided by the British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF).

You will find that there are three areas of the site:

1. A general area with information about adoption and fostering and short profiles of children needing new families.
2. An area where subscribers can access more detailed information about the children featured including multimedia (video and audio) content, and make enquiries directly to agencies.
3. An area of children's profiles that only CRB-checked subscribers can access.

Please note:

• All the children featured on this website are real children and unless stated we use their real first name.
• Certain children's profiles are only accessible to prospective adopters and foster carers who are either already approved, or are in the process of being approved, and have been CRB (criminal records bureau) checked.
• This site only features children who are available for adoption and fostering in the UK.

Registering

To register, go to Register here in the green log in box above.

When you register, we’ll ask for some details about you and your family, and whether or not you’ve been approved by an agency. Don’t forget to read, and make sure you agree with, our terms and conditions. Once you have given us your email address and set up a password, you will be ready to start using the service.

Subscribing

To subscribe to the service, we’ll need your credit card details. The security is managed by SECPay, the UK’s largest processor of secure payments online, and BAAF will not retain your credit card details. The subscription fees are £6.46 for a month, £17.63 for three months, £32.90 for six months, and £49.35 for a year. We’re offering great discounts to people who want to subscribe to both the newspaper and the website.

If you already subscribe to the Be My Parent newspaper, you can pay a ‘top up’ fee so that your subscription includes the online service too. This fee will depend on how long your newspaper subscription has left to run. Please contact the Be My Parent team on 020 7421 2666/5/4 or email and we will help you get set up.
