Who can I talk to if I am considering having my baby adopted?

If you are considering having your baby adopted

If you are thinking of having your baby adopted, you can talk to your doctor or a social worker at the hospital or at the adoption agency for your local council. Although preparations for adoption can begin before your child is born, nothing will be definitely arranged until after the birth, and after you have had time to think carefully about your decision.

For more information, see the BAAF website, or contact your local adoption agency for some advice, or speak to one of our advisors at a BAAF country or regional office in your area.
