Cancellation fees
Your guide to Be My Parent cancellation fees.
Please inform us if you wish to cancel a referral and repeats in future. It’s best to inform us as soon as possible, as less work will have been done to process the referral.
For the Be My Parent newspaper
Cancellation of new referral
If you notify us:
- at least 30 working days before the publication date, there will be no cancellation fee
- between 15 and 30 working days before the publication date, a cancellation fee of 20 per cent of the referral fee will apply
- less than 15 working days before the publication date, a cancellation fee of 75 per cent of the referral fee will apply, at the discretion of Be My Parent; where possible, the profile and photograph will be taken out of the paper, otherwise an explanatory strip will be placed across the child’s photograph.
Cancellation of repeat referral
If you wish to cancel a repeat referral, any remaining credit will be refunded to your agency. For example, a child booked for three issues, but withdrawn after two, will result in a credit of £85 (£510–£425).
For Be My Parent online
Cancellation of new referral
If you notify us after we have submitted the edited profile back to you for approval, a fee of 50 per cent of the referral fee will apply.
Cancellation of repeat referral
If you wish to cancel a repeat referral, any remaining credit will be refunded to your agency. For example, a child booked for three issues, but withdrawn after two, will result in a credit of £85 (£510–£425).
