What happens after a profile's referral run has ended?

Be My Parent follow-up services

  • We will send you, by post, monthly information about enquiries received for each child featured in the Be My Parent newspaper. If the child is on the Be My Parent website, you will be able to keep track of received enquiries by logging in.
  • We also provide general, non-identifying statistical information about children and families. To this end, we will contact you to discuss the children’s placement progress, within three months of publication.
  • We can add you to a monthly email reminder that we send to social workers, one week before each newspaper deadline. Please contact us to be added.

After placement

Please inform us within 28 days if children have been linked with a family.

Although we no longer charge a placement fee, we still monitor placements for statistical purposes. We also love to hear about children being matched with adoptive or foster families, and we share in every success - so do let us know if a child has been placed with a permanent family as a result of being featured in Be My Parent!
