Derbyshire Disability fostering and adoption information evening

Derbyshire County Council are holding an information evening on 1 July 2014, 4-7pm at County Hall, Bank Road, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3AG.

Hillingdon Adoption Profiling Event, Saturday 5 July

The London Borough Hillingdon would like to welcome approved adopters and adopters who are in the last stage of their assessment, and nearing the panel date. They will be providing detailed information and showing DVDs about a select number of children. They will also have a panel of adopters who will speak about their experiences, and the child’s foster carer and social worker will also be there. This is an opportunity to find out about children waiting in a way that makes them much more than a photograph.

Essex Adoption Profiling Event – Chelmsford, Sunday 6 July

This is a profiling event run by Essex County Council's Family Finding team aimed at approved adopters and those who have entered Stage 2 of their assessment. It will provide an opportunity for prospective adopters to get a real picture of the children who are currently waiting for adoptive families. The children will be presented through photographs, DVDs and some will be setting out their own wishes and feelings through their creative work, about what they would like in their new family. There will be an opportunity to discuss the children in more detail with the social workers and their foster carers. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.

Reading adoption and fostering information evening, Reading

Parents and Children Together (PACT) runs informal evenings for couples or individuals interested in adoption or fostering. Each event is led by a PACT social worker and will include a talk from someone who has adopted or fostered through PACT.

Peterborough Adoption

Staffordshire County Council Adoption Information Meeting

Staffordshire County Council are holding adoption sessions providing information about adopting with them and what it is really like. The sessions are friendly, relaxed and are led by their specialised social workers. Go along, take all the information away with you and just listen. There's also the option to have a confidential chat with one of their social workers.

Interested in adoption in Enfield?
