Introducing Be My Parent online

Be My Parent online is a web-based, family-finding service provided by the British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF). More about our service: who we are and what we do.

You will find that there are three areas of the site:

• A general area with information about adoption and fostering and short profiles of children needing new families

• An area where subscribers can access more detailed information about the featured children, where applicable, such as video clips and/or extra photos, and make enquiries directly to agencies

• An area with a selection of children's profiles that only CRB (Criminal Records Bureau)-checked subscribers can access, when requested by the child’s agency.

Please note:

• All the children’s profiles on this website are about real children, and, unless stated, we use their real first name.

• Certain children's profiles are only accessible to prospective adopters and foster carers who are either already approved, or are in the process of being approved, and have been CRB checked.

• This site only features children who are available for adoption and fostering in the UK.

Registering for Be My Parent online

Before you can subscribe to Be My Parent online, you will need to register your contact details and some further information, such as the sort of placement you are looking for. Don’t forget to also read, and make sure you agree with, our terms and conditions and privacy policy.

To view the children's full profiles, including any video clips and extra photos, and make enquiries, you will then need to subscribe to Be My Parent.

Subscribing to Be My Parent online

Once registered and logged in, you can purchase your subscription to the website, newspaper, or both services. We’re offering great discounts to people who subscribe to both the newspaper and the website.

To subscribe to either or both services, we will need your credit card details. The security will be managed by Pay Point, the UK’s largest processor of secure payments online, and we do not store your credit card details on our servers. Please see our subscription costs.

If you already subscribe to the Be My Parent newspaper or website, you can pay a ‘top up’ fee so that your subscription includes the other service too. This fee will depend on how long your subscription has left to run.
