Can I adopt or foster if I do not have a partner?
Yes, single carers can adopt or foster a child
Although many children need two-parent families, there are equally those who would benefit from the one-to-one attention that a single carer can provide.
As with all people who apply to foster or adopt, your agency will ask you about your support network: the friends, family and neighbours whom you will rely on for support when bringing up your child.
